    Abstract

    Anglais

This article means to criticize some «science-inspired arguments» raised against our common intuitions about perception. It considers several ways to defend these intuitions. Even if our ordinary way to understand the nature of perceptual experience is quite different from what science tells us about perception, the two are not incompatible. – The causal argument; – Direct theories of perception and causal analysis of perceptual experience; – A third common intuition ?; – The nature of perceptual experience; – Causation and description.
