Résumé

Anglais

Pecchioli presents the results of measurement campaigns conducted in Ostia in 2017 and 2020, a city in which corner reinforcements, load-bearing arches, and buttressing arches were widespread. Analysis of the information recovered reveals a dominant S-SE direction and secondary N-NW and W-SW directions for the collapse vectors. The city’s considerable distance from Apennine seismic sources suggests that the damage at Ostia was caused by different epicentres and directions of propagation, probably the fault located at the northern border of the city which was already active in the past.
